| Background | The Cents-Ability program of Monmouth Presbytery was initiated in November 2006 as a strategy for raising awareness and funds in the fight against hunger.Funds raised through Cents-Ability are used to fund hunger ministries in a partnership model. Since 2007 the allocation of funds raised in Monmouth Presbytery has been: 40% within the bounds of Monmouth Presbytery and 60% for hunger ministries in the U.S. and around the world (to be chosen from the eighteen projects in theBreak Free From Hunger booklet). (Allocation is reviewed each year.) |
| Purpose | The Cents-Ability Grants Committee administers the grants process for the Presbytery of Monmouth. A grants committee member will attend and report to the quarterly meetings of Presbytery. |
| Membership | Each congregation that participates in Cents-Ability will have a representative on the grants committee. The Hunger Action Enabler and a member of the Mission Working Group will also serve in an advisory capacity (voice but not vote). The grants committee will elect a moderator/convener and a secretary. |
| Accountability | The Cents-Ability Grants Committee will report to the Presbytery of Monmouth through the Mission Working Group. |

| Meetings | The Cents-Ability Grants Committee will meet at least twice a year with ongoing communication throughout the year via e-mail or phone. For voting purposes, a quorum is considered to be those who are in attendance |
